達爾文進化論提出物競天擇的過程，「適應自然者則生存，不適者淘汰」述說著人類的演化故事，從過去、現在到未來，亦或是從自然史到文明史，在台灣史前文化博物館既有的空間中呈現了一個時間軸的轉變，觀者透過空間循序進地了解自己如何成為這位演化故事下的幸運者。羅馬競技場形式的空間序列，設定為時間演化軸的坡道，地坪一段又一段的以Shift方式的分割，以及展示面板上方與地坪相襯的玻璃，皆依回字型圍繞著中庭，古典元素的窗洞與牆面結合產生「虛」與「實」，光線從中隨機穿透且不斷曲折向上，使路徑充滿著探險的氛圍，人遊走於其中，彷彿被引導著穿越時空。 近代人類演化重大事件以「元素」的方式崁入時間軸線中，並設定各元素之呈現方式，目光隨著展示的圖片移動，靜靜地讀著解說牌上的文字，彷彿自己瞬間成為了考古學家，跟隨著Shift與時空連結的步伐，在原有的空間序列中，沿著LED燈川流下突顯時空演進的時間軸線，一步一腳印地去發掘，隨著時空演進去探討人類演化的過程。透過大家的加入與探究便能漸漸感受到，每段Shift所帶來的不同反映，象徵著時間的流動以及人類的演化。

The Darwinian theory of evolution proposes that "those who adapt to nature survive, and those who don't are eliminated". The story of human evolution, from the past to the present and into the future, from natural history to civilization, and the transformation of a timeline, is presented in the existing space of the Museum of Prehistory and Culture in Taiwan so that you can understand how to become the lucky one. The spatial sequence is a Roman arena, with the ramp set as an axis of time evolution. The flooring is divided in a shifted manner from section to section, and the glass above the display panels matches the flooring, all following a zigzag pattern around the atrium. The classical elements of the windows and the walls combine to produce the virtual and real, and the light penetrates through the center at random, keeping zigzagging upwards, making the path full of an adventurous atmosphere, as if one is being guided to travel back in time. One is guided through time and space. The major events of modern human evolution are embedded into the timeline in the form of "elements", and the presentation of each element is set up. As the eyes move along with the pictures on display, the mind silently reads the words on the explanatory boards, as if one has instantly become an archaeologist, following the pace of Shift to connect with time and space. In the original spatial sequence, the LED lights flow down the time axis, highlighting the evolution of time and space, one step at a time. Along the timeline highlighted by the LED light stream, the excavator goes step by step to explore the process of human evolution with the evolution of time and space. Each shift has a different reflection, symbolizing the flow of time and the evolution of mankind, which can only be understood through personal exploration.
